PPND - the Platform for Neolithic Radiocarbon Dates

The two radiocarbon dates of Horvat Galil (Gopher 1997) scatter in a wide range between 8720 BC and 7960 BC. They thus document an early to middle PPNB horizon. The flints are of a wide variety of El-Khiam, Jericho, Helwan, Amuq and Byblos points. A chrono-typological separation of early and middle PPNB occupations is hardly possible (Sayej 2004:42), and it may also be that the site was used earlier.
